The Positive Birth Movement Cambridge is linked to the larger cause The Positive Birth Movement and Tell Me a Good Birth Story which are both grass roots movements to offer positivity about childbirth via a global network of free Positive Birth groups, linked up by social media which aims to encourage people to Meet Up, Link Up and Shake Up Birth! Whether at home or in hospital, with or without medical intervention: every women deserves a positive birth.
“Talking to a woman with a GOOD birth story to tell is like having a magic key.”
The message, ‘I did it, so can you,’ is more powerful than you can ever imagine. Our group aims to put pregnant women in touch with new mothers willing to share their good birth stories.
The Positive Birth Movement Cambridge, meets at the The Community Cafe, in Bar Hill Tesco on the 4th Saturday of Every month, 10-11.30am
The group is free to attend. We talk, listen to a mum talk about her positive birth story, and then have a topic of interest for discussion, we eat cake and drink tea!
We welcome Dads and older siblings and provide some toys for the little ones to play with, however you could delegate the weekly food shop to Dad and make use of Tesco Extra! There is a lovely cafe with a little childrens area, or ‘Whale of a Time’ Soft Play is within walking distance, so if you feel you would be able to focus better on the group there are lots of places for Dads and older children can go for you to meet up afterwards.
To register your interest in attending, and to help me organise each monthly meet, you can sign your name up to the doodle poll below:-
We can’t wait to meet you!
